Andover Carnival

The highlight of Andover Carnival is the spectacular procession, where schools, businesses, charities, and local groups come together to create an incredible display of colour, creativity, and community spirit. With beautifully decorated floats, lively performers, and music filling the streets, the parade brings joy to thousands of spectators.

The festivities don’t stop there! The fun continues at Vigo Park, where families can enjoy live entertainment, music, food stalls, and activities throughout the day.

In 2021, we expanded the celebrations to include the High Street, with even more opportunities for local businesses, pubs, and venues to get involved—creating a true town-wide celebration. Andover Carnival isn’t just an event; it’s a tradition that brings our community together, year after year.

We excited to do it all again this year! 🎉

About Andover Carnival: More Info

The History of Andover Carnival 🎉

The Andover Carnival has been a beloved community event for over 100 years, first taking place in 1924! Originally created to bring the town together in celebration, the carnival has evolved over the decades, becoming one of Andover’s biggest and most anticipated annual events.

After a break, the carnival was revived in 2008 by a passionate team of volunteers, determined to keep the tradition alive. Since then, it has grown into a spectacular day of fun, entertainment, and charity, with a vibrant parade, a family-friendly fun day, and incredible live music and performances.

This year, we proudly celebrated our 100th anniversary, marking a century of community spirit, fantastic floats, and unforgettable memories. A huge thank you to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey!

One of the most important aspects of Andover Carnival is its commitment to charity, raising funds each year for local causes that make a real difference in our community.

Here’s to another 100 years of Andover Carnival magic! 🎊
